With novel materials, exciting dial colors, and innovative movement decorations, Porsche Design continues to produce gorgeous watches that both car lovers and watch aficionados may appreciate. Case in point is the recently released Porsche PTC 911, featuring a mag-wheel-inspired rotor design that may have you spending more time looking through the sapphire crystal caseback than at the actual time. The case is made of black titanium carbide coating with a glass bead-blasted finish, and the screw-down sapphire caseback is transparent for a clear view of the movement. The fixed black titanium bezel frames a black analog dial with white indices and Arabic numeral markers. A date window is positioned at 4 o’clock, while subdials include a single rocker switch, central seconds, a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. Functions include hours, minutes, date, chronograph flyback, mechanical function display, and a tachymetric scale. The black rubber strap features an Alcantara inlay and LaserFlex profile, secured with a titanium deployant clasp. The sapphire crystal has a hard coating, is scratch-proof, and features sevenfold anti-glare properties on both sides for optimal readability. A screw-in crown enhances water resistance, and the watch is powered by the Porsche Design Caliber WERK 01.200 with a 48-hour power reserve. Water-resistant up to 10 atm (100 meters/330 feet), the case measures 45.5 mm in diameter and 15.6 mm thick, while the strap is 25.5 mm wide and 8 inches long. Made in Switzerland, model 6033.601009.062, all measurements are approximate and may slightly vary. Men's watch bands can be sized to fit 7.5-inch to 8.5-inch wrists, with extra links available through the manufacturer. Automatic movement winds with the motion of your arm, though it is recommended to wind the watch every two weeks. A screw-down crown creates a water-resistant seal; to adjust settings, unscrew the crown counterclockwise, pull/push into position to set time and date, and screw it back clockwise to close.
