Can you tell me about Charli’s
hair for the campaign shoot?
The campaign look is a little different to what she’d normally go for. It’s more lived in and natural; the texture is rougher and a little greasier at the base. It’s grungier I guess.
How can we recreate the look at home?
Today we used Davines natural hair care products to achieve the textured look. If you have hair like Charli’s, that’s already rough in texture then you can throw in a medium hold paste when the hair is still damp. Through the ends, work a little dry oil and then a texturizing powder at the roots; both these products go in at the end. Then if you like, you can hit a few pieces with a curling iron to work.

What’s been your favourite high profile shoot work on?
This one because everyone on it has been wonderful to work with and super happy and inspiring, so in terms of everyone being really creative this has to be one of my favourites for sure. It’s crazy everyone is just lovely here and sharing really great ideas, just super sweet.
What hot hair trends are coming next?
Honestly I think the best hair trend is just to kind of go with whatever it is you want to do. There is always going to be beachy waves in the summer and pastels for spring, but at the end of the day I think creating something that is your signature is really nice. Whatever you do, having something that’s yours – that’s my favourite thing.
Any tips for getting a great hair cut?
Knowing what you want! Or if you don’t know what you want, finding someone whose work you really really like and can trust is great. If you can be straightforward it’s much better.
