Boohoo HQ Get Fit!

To mark the launch of our boohooFIT range, we got together with the fittest boohoo team members to get the lo-down on their achievements. From the three peaks challenge, to an ex pro footballer and a world class martial arts champion the boohoo team are killing it in the fitness stakes.

Meet Finn, our International Ecommerce Manager. For 2015, he’s taking a firm stance on all things fitness; “don’t be afraid of hard times. People usually give up when things get difficult but it takes a conscious decision to say to yourself that you’re stronger than your situation and battle through. Hard gym session means progress, craving junk food means your diet is clean. Head down and battle on through.” Doesn’t sound that bad, does it? Finn trains “every day except Saturday, and then twice a day on Thursdays and Mondays.” This advice comes from experience. A few months after Finn rowed across the Atlantic Ocean (in just two months), he then completed the world’s longest obstacle run on “legs [he] hadn’t used for almost three months.” This year, Finn aims to build up the weight he lost during his row, but will he be wearing boohooFIT to train? “Of course, I love it!” Finn says, “My favourite is the raglan sports tee. Tight around the arms and traps and it looks good too.”

At the other end of the spectrum is Laura, boohoo Fit Model and Technical Administrator. An aggressive inline skater, Laura competes on a national level. But who inspires her? “Jenna Downing,” Laura raves “she’s a world champion, sports mentor, sky sports ambassador AND great friend. She has inspired me since I started skating and is always so positive and supportive.” Laura got into skating at the age of 15, after watching skating DVD BHC Nation 4; she was hooked straight away, and now exercises 3-4 times a week along with skating – all all in the name of fitness. She's keen to maintain her healthy size 10 figure and we agree, she looks fierce! Her secret -“Use healthier alternatives such as coconut oil, drink herbal, eat more fruit and veg and cut out all that sugar!” It’s the little steps that make a difference…

She also takes advantage of the boohoo gym and the healthy tasty lunches provided in house; “We have an on-site gym which is excellent for my busy lifestyle alongside out of hours classes like running club, yoga, boot camp and Zumba. ‘The Attic’ also offers a wide range of food with healthy encouragement such as salads, soups and smoothies.” And Laura loves the boohooFIT range; “I’m really excited about the FIT range, as a Fit Model in the technical department my role is to fit the garments to make sure they’re just right, so when I heard about the new FIT range I was already eager to see the designs and styles. I particularly like the Snake Print pieces and the motivational ‘Get Fit’ leggings – just what you need to keep you going on those blue Mondays!”

Next we have Will. He’s a professional footballer turned Marketing and Psychology student, he hits the gym daily just for the pure love of it! He says the feeling after a workout is what keeps him going and preaches that you need to “enjoy what you do.” Let’s hope he feels the same about Tough Mudder in 2015!

These are by no means the only active guys at the office, with weekly running club meeting at the door the guilt sets in as they pass you by, while you’re rushing home.
