Using a Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamp helps replace negatively charged ions in the air, which may counteract the potential physical and mental effects of ‘electric smog.’ Each lamp comes with a UK light fitting, 1.5 meters in length, and a bulb. Instead of selling by size, we offer them by approximate weight. The size markings provided are only an estimate, as each lamp is unique. Due to the hygroscopic properties of salt, Himalayan salt lamps and candle holders absorb moisture from the air. If your lamp is ‘sweating’ or leaking water, this is typically because it has been switched off for a prolonged period, especially in humid conditions. To remedy this, leave the lamp in strong sunlight for 4 to 5 hours and brush off any excess crystals, or wipe gently with a dry cloth. If you don't use the lamp for extended periods (such as when on holiday), disconnect the cable and remove the bulb. In humid conditions, it's recommended to place the lamp on a small tray or dish to catch any pooled water.
